The vision coverage is administered by Davis Vision. There is no additional payroll deduction for either individual or family vision coverage. Members enrolled in the vision plan are eligible for an eye exam and either glasses or contact lenses at one of the vision plans in-network participating providers.
Effective 11/1/16, co-payments are no longer required for eye exams and eyeglasses obtained through an in-network participating provider.
Co-payments may apply for certain eyeglass collections and/or options. Please see the plan brochure

Members are eligible to use the benefit once every 24 months.

Please note that new hires for Rensselaer County that waive enrollment into a health insurance plan have a one year wait before vision coverage becomes effective.
